Trapped Fox (with Trapped Fox Choir - Live At Northcote Social Club

Trapped Fox with the Trapped Fox Choir of Roni Shewan, Paul/Nat/Eli/Tilley Banks, Luke Richardson, Indiana Avent, Francesca & Carmen Sculli.

With the marvellous Trapped Fox Choir lifting this performance to new heights, this was the closing song of the Golden Moment Album Launch.

Trapped Fox is a calling to our inner selves to ask 'where am I going in life?', 'what is my journey through life about?'.

Life offers no respite from the constant distractions of marketers, friends, family and loved ones to live within the agenda they would like us to live.

Trapped Fox reinforces the notion that although we can fall prey to these external messages, we ultimately must look inside for our own compass of who we are, what we're about, where we want to go and what life path will give us meaning, happiness and fulfilment.

It's about seeking our own truth and then standing by it no matter which way the winds blow. Like many things in life, this is not easy, but always pays off in the long run.

TRAPPED FOX

Nurture me, nourish me

Hold out your hand, give only good seed

You can build your storm,

But can you clear away this fog

You built my library, you stack the catalogue

So please, please, please, please...

It’s getting hard to take in air

It’s a battle that I can’t win

But we can sit on a hill where the comets fly

Lasso our way into the night

And upon our return all the cities will be burned

Where once was a concrete gloom,

All the flowers return to bloom, bloom, bloom, bloom, bloom.

When you see your eyes in the eye of your brother

And it’s your hand on the tiller to the rudder

No matter which way the wind ought to blow

It can’t tell you which way you ought to roam

They say they found the truth under ground

But as soon as it caught light it took off like a sound

Coz it’s an apparition in the corner of your eye

It’s a visiting relative who you know to have died

The trap is shut, the bait is gone

Well, the truth don’t lay under the clay

No, it’s apportioned and it’s spread throughout your days

Now, it’s a treasure for which your mind must be keen

Slowly but surely your truth can be gleaned. Ooohhh.

They say they found the truth under ground

But as soon as it caught light it took off like a sound

Coz it’s an apparition in the corner of your eye

It’s a visiting relative who you know to have died

The trap is shut, the bait is gone

They say they found the truth under ground

But as soon as it caught light it took off like a sound

Coz it’s an apparition in the corner of your eye

It’s a visiting relative who you know to have died

They say they found the truth under ground

But as soon as it caught light it took off like a sound

Now it’s an apparition in the corner of your eye

It’s a visiting relative who you know to have died

The trap is shut, oh no, the bait is gone

Now you feel the shame, you tried to catch it at all

Oooohhhh... Oooohhhh... Oooohhhh

Oooohhhh... Oooohhhh... Oooohhhh
