It’s a watery haze where little makes sense,
Where your yearning is amplified
Through a fractured golden lens.
One morning, I woke to profound feelings of love. A moment ago, I was in the world of dreams, then my eyes opened, and I was instantly in the conscious world of my room, ceiling, light fixture and ten cubic metres of that stuffy, morning, bedroom air.
The world I was just in instantly vanished as if I was never there. As if the door to that world securely snapped shut behind me.
I’m still unsure about why I was ushered back to my waking life so swiftly. When I searched my blood and gut, my breath and then heart rate, and then the residual shadows in my mind, I came up short.
A lot of it had been mopped up before I was thrown out of my dreamscape. But something did linger.
I felt warm. I felt calm. I felt at peace and I felt loved. The feeling was washing throughout me as the majestic aurora borealis. It moved vividly and imperceptibly through me. I was tapped into the primordial homeland of feeling completely loved. Unconditionally and just for being who I am, without alteration or explanation.
