your friends have all gone either down or up into the air

when there’s no new love and you’re out of rising suns

where your not let to go as deep

nor let to come up for some air

where we fight for our peace

there’s more power there in a quiet man

while another will talk till he be damned

like a viper spitting curse into the air

well some men talk as if their tongues be on fire

but a wise man knows when to spend those words

 

money will rot your pockets

if you don’t know what to do with it

your life is like a waiting treasure chest

you can keep it deep under ground

but it’s worth nothing til it’s found

but it’s worth more the more you share it around
